1ST EDITION ‘THE MAGICIAN’S NEPHEW” BY C.S. LEWIS Published The Bodley Head, London 1955 Clive Staples Lewis, b.1898 in Belfast, Ireland d.1963, Oxfordshire, England. Irish-born scholar, novelist, and author of over 40 books. His works of greatest lasting fame may be the Chronicles of Narnia, a series of seven children’s books that have become classics of fantasy literature, and later adapted into films. A bronze statue of Lewis's character Digory from The Magician's Nephew stands in Belfast's Holywood Arches in front of the Holywood Road Library.
